Woody Harrelson to Present Harrison Ford With Life Achievement Award at 2026 Actor Awards Tonight

Hollywood legend Harrison Ford, 83, will receive SAG-AFTRA's highest honor tonight as Woody Harrelson, 64, takes the stage to present him with the Life Achievement Award at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards — streaming live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The ceremony, formerly known as the SAG Awards, begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT with Kristen Bell returning as host.

The Star Wars Connection

Ford and Harrelson have never shared the screen together — but their Hollywood careers are linked through a galaxy far, far away. Harrelson starred in Solo: A Star Wars Story as the mentor to young Han Solo — the very character Ford made iconic across four decades of cinema.

What Ford Said About the Honor

Ford expressed his gratitude when the award was announced: "I am deeply honored to be chosen as this year's recipient of the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award."

SAG-AFTRA President Sean Astin described Ford as "a singular presence in American life — an actor whose iconic characters have shaped world culture," citing his work across the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises alongside films including The Fugitive, Air Force One, and What Lies Beneath.

The Life Achievement Award is given annually to an actor who exemplifies the finest ideals of the acting profession. Past recipients include Sidney Poitier, Betty White, Jane Fonda, Robert De Niro, Elizabeth Taylor, and James Earl Jones.

A Career That Defined Hollywood

Ford's career spans more than five decades. He broke through as Han Solo in Star Wars in 1977 and Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981 — two of the most beloved characters in cinema history. Both franchises continued for decades with Ford returning to each role well into his eighties.

Beyond blockbusters, Ford earned critical recognition for dramatic work in Witness, The Mosquito Coast, and Presumed Innocent, and delivered career-defining performances in Blade Runner and its 2017 sequel. More recently, he joined the Yellowstone universe in the series 1923, introducing himself to an entirely new generation of fans.

At 83, Ford remains one of the last living connections to Hollywood's golden era of practical filmmaking — a time before digital effects dominated the screen and star power alone could open a film worldwide.

Tonight's Full Presenter Lineup

Alongside Harrelson, tonight's presenters include Benicio Del Toro, Christoph Waltz, Regina Hall, Allison Janney, Sarah Paulson, Samuel L. Jackson, Timothée Chalamet, Jenna Ortega, Jacob Elordi, Michael B. Jordan, Viola Davis, Lisa Kudrow, Gwyneth Paltrow, and dozens more.

On the nominations front, Leonardo DiCaprio's One Battle After Another leads all films with seven nominations. Sinners follows with five, and Frankenstein, Hamnet, and Marty Supreme each have three.

The Actor Awards stream live tonight on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET.
